Description:   A vulnerability was reported in VMware vRealize Automation. A remote user can conduct XML external entity attacks to obtain potentially sensitive information from the target system. A remote user can cause denial of service conditions.

A remote user can supply specially crafted XML External Entity (XXE) data to the target Single Sign-On function to obtain potentially sensitive information from the target system.

Vladimir Ivanov, Andrey Evlanin, Mikhail Stepankin, Artem Kondratenko, and Arseniy Sharoglazov of Positive Technologies reported this vulnerability.

Impact:   A remote user can obtain potentially sensitive information from the target system.

A remote user can cause denial of service conditions.

Solution:   The vendor has issued a fix (vRealize Automation VA 6.2.5).
