Description:   A vulnerability was reported in Splunk. A remote user can obtain REST API authentication tokens on the target system.

A remote user can exploit an HTTP injection flaw in Splunk Web to obtain authorization tokens that can be used on the Splunk REST API.

Impact:   A remote user can obtain REST API authentication tokens on the target system and use the tokens to gain access to the API.
Solution:   The vendor has issued a fix (5.0.17, 6.0.13, 6.1.12, 6.2.12, 6.3.8, 6.4.4, 6.5.0).
