Description:   A vulnerability was reported in the Windows Kernel. A local user can obtain elevated privileges on the target system.

A local user can run a specially crafted application to exploit a permissions error in the Windows Kernel API and gain access to potentially sensitive information.

James Forshaw of Google Project Zero and Mateusz Jurczyk of Google Project Zero reported this vulnerability.

Impact:   A local user can obtain elevated privileges on the target system.
Solution:   The vendor has issued a fix.
