Description:   Several vulnerabilities were reported in Microsoft Virtual Hard Disk Driver. A local user can obtain elevated privileges on the target system.

A local user can run a specially crafted application to exploit an access control flaw in the Windows Virtual Hard Disk Driver to modify ostensibly restricted files and gain elevated privileges.

James Forshaw of Google Project Zero reported this vulnerability.

Impact:   A local user can obtain elevated privileges on the target system.
Solution:   The vendor has issued a fix.
