Description:   A vulnerability was reported in Cisco Application Policy Infrastructure Controller. A local user can obtain root privileges on the target system.

A local user can exploit a flaw in the installation procedure and permission settings for certain binary files to gain root privileges on the target system.

The vendor has assigned bug ID CSCva50496 to this vulnerability.

Security Researcher Mgr. Lubomir Vesely of Aliter Technologies, a.s. reported this vulnerability.

Impact:   A local user can obtain root privileges on the target system.
Solution:   The vendor has issued a fix.
