Description:   A vulnerability was reported in F5 BIG-IP. A remote user can consume excessive resources on the target system.

A remote user can return a specially crafted reply to a DNS query from 'RESOLV::lookup' to consume excessive resources on the target system or trigger a Traffic Management Microkernel (TMM) crash.

Systems that use the 'RESOLV::lookup' iRule command to resolve PTR records are affected.

The vendor has assigned ID 550596 to this vulnerability.

Impact:   A remote user can consume excessive resources on the target system or cause the target system to crash.
Solution:   The vendor has issued a fix.
