Description:   Two vulnerabilities were reported in Siemens SIMATIC WinCC. A remote user can execute arbitrary code on the target system. A remote user can obtain files on the target system.

A remote user can send specially crafted data to execute arbitrary code on the target system [CVE-2016-5743].

A remote user can send specially crafted data to obtain arbitrary files on the target system [CVE-2016-5744]. Versions 7.0 and 7.2 are affected.

SIMATIC WinCC and WinCC Runtime Professional are affected by these vulnerabilities.

Sergey Temnikov and Vladimir Dashchenko, Critical Infrastructure Defence Team, Kaspersky Lab, reported these vulnerabilities.

Impact:   A remote user can execute arbitrary code on the target system.

Solution:   The vendor has issued a fix (7.3 Update 10, 7.4 Update 1).
