Description:   A vulnerability was reported in Blue Coat ProxySG. A remote user can bypass security controls on the target system.

In certain cases where the system must perform a reverse DNS lookup for a hostname, the system may not properly apply access, authentication, and scanning policy rules. A remote user can can exploit this to bypass security policy rules on the target system.

Systems configured as a forward proxy, reverse proxy, or web application firewall are affected.

Mike Brookes and Nathan Fowler reported this vulnerability.

Impact:   A remote user can bypass access, authentication, and scanning security controls on the target system.
Solution:   No solution was available at the time of this entry.
