Description:   A vulnerability was reported in the Linux kernel. A local user can cause denial of service conditions on the target system.

A local user can supply specially crafted data to trigger an integer overflow in snd_compr_allocate_buffer() and cause denial of service conditions on the target system.

Impact:   A local user can cause denial of service conditions on the target system.
Solution:   The vendor has issued a source code fix [in September 2012], available at:
