Description:   A vulnerability was reported in Microsoft Windows. A remote user can gain elevated privileges in certain cases.

Microsoft Windows does not safely process group policy updates over the network via LDAP. A remote user can that can conduct a man-in-the-middle attack between the domain controller and the target system can create a group policy to grant administrator rights to a standard user.

NabeelAhmed of Dimension Data and Tom Gilis of Dimension Data reported this vulnerability.

Impact:   A remote user that can conduct a man-in-the-middle attack can gain elevated privileges on the target system.
Solution:   The vendor has issued a fix.
