Description:
Multiple vulnerabilities were reported in Pulse Connect Secure. A remote user can consume excessive resources on the target system. A remote authenticated user can conduct server-side request forgery attacks. A remote user can obtain potentially sensitive information on the target system. A remote user can conduct cross-site scripting attacks.
A remote user can consume excessive CPU resources on the target system [CVE-2016-4786].
A remote user can view the contents from certain files on the target system [CVE-2016-4787]. When this occurs, temporary files are created and not deleted. A remote user can exploit this flaw repeatedly to consume excessive disk space.
A remote user can view the contents of a specific file on the target system [CVE-2016-4788].
The interface does not properly filter HTML code from user-supplied input before displaying the input [CVE-2016-4789, CVE-2016-4790]. A remote user can cause arbitrary scripting code to be executed by the target administrative user's browser. The code will originate from the Pulse Connect Secure interface and will run in the security context of that site. As a result, the code will be able to access the target user's cookies (including authentication cookies), if any, associated with the site, access data recently submitted by the target user via web form to the site, or take actions on the site acting as the target user.
A remote authenticated user can view potentially sensitive information on the target system [CVE-2016-4791]. This flaw can also be exploited by a remote authenticated user to conduct server-side request forgery attacks to access other systems and services.
A remote user can view sign in pages [CVE-2016-4792].
Travis Emmert from the Salesforce.com Product Security Team, Anton Rager from the Salesforce.com Product Security Team, Arnold Holzel, and Jake Reynolds from Depth Security reported these vulnerabilities.
