Description:   A vulnerability was reported in McAfee VirusScan. A local user can bypass authentication on the VirusScan Console.

A local user that can close the registry handles for the 'mcconsole.exe' process can unlock the password-protected VirusScan console window.

Maurizio Agazzini (inode) from Mediaservice.net reported this vulnerability.

Impact:   A local user can bypass security controls to access the VirusScan Console on the target system.
Solution:   The vendor has issued a fix (8.8.0.1546).
