Description:   Multiple vulnerabilities were reported in Wireshark. A remote user can consume excessive CPU resources on the target system. A remote user can cause the target service to crash.

A remote user can cause the target dissector to enter a large or infinite loop and consume excessive CPU resources on the target system.

TShark could consume all available stack memory and crash [CVE-2016-4006]. Version 2.0.x is affected.

The NCP dissector is affected [CVE-2016-4076]. Version 2.0.x is affected.

TShark reassembly is affected [CVE-2016-4077]. Version 2.0.x is affected.

The IEEE 802.11 dissector is affected [CVE-2016-4078].

The PKTC dissector is affected [CVE-2016-4079, CVE-2016-4080].

The IAX2 dissector may enter an infinite loop [CVE-2016-4081].

The GSM CBCH dissector is affected [CVE-2016-4082].

The MS-WSP dissector is affected [CVE-2016-4083, CVE-2016-4084]. Version 2.0.x is affected.

The NCP dissector is affected [CVE-2016-4085]. Version 1.12.x is affected

Mateusz Jurczyk, Liuyinsheng, and Chris Benedict reported some of these vulnerabilities.

Impact:   A remote user can consume excessive CPU resources on the target system.

A remote user can cause the target service to crash.

Solution:   The vendor has issued a fix (1.12.11, 2.0.3).
