Multiple vulnerabilities were reported in Mozilla Firefox. A remote user can cause arbitrary code to be executed on the target user's system. A remote user can gain elevated privileges. A remote user can bypass security controls on the target system. A remote user can obtain potentially sensitive information on the target system. Network Security Services (NSS) is affected.|
A remote user can create specially crafted HTML that, when loaded by the target user, will trigger a memory corruption error and execute arbitrary code on the target system [CVE-2015-2724, CVE-2015-2725, CVE-2015-2726, CVE-2015-2734, CVE-2015-2735, CVE-2015-2736, CVE-2015-2737, CVE-2015-2738, CVE-2015-2739, CVE-2015-2740]. The code will run with the privileges of the target user.
When the target user opens a link on a page using the mouse and specific keyboard key combinations, a Chrome privileged URL can be opened without context restrictions being applied [CVE-2015-2727]. This vulnerability was previously reported but was not applied to version 38.
A remote user can trigger a type confusion error in the Indexed Database Manager to execute arbitrary code [CVE-2015-2728].
A remote user can trigger an out-of-bounds memory read in AudioParamTimeline::AudioNodeInputValue() in the processing of Web Audio to determine the contents of four bytes of memory [CVE-2015-2729].
A remote user can trigger a use-after-free memory error in CSPService::ShouldLoad() when a Content Policy modifies the Document Object Model (DOM) to remove a DOM object [CVE-2015-2731].
The Elliptical Curve Cryptography (ECC) multiplication for Elliptic Curve Digital Signature Algorithm (ECDSA) signature validation in Network Security Services (NSS) does not properly handle certain exceptional cases [CVE-2015-2730]. A remote user may be able to exploit this to forge signatures.
A remote user can trigger a use-after-free memory error when using XMLHttpRequest in conjunction with shared or dedicated workers [CVE-2015-2722, CVE-2015-2733].
When an error that may be overridden occurs, key pinning checks may be missed [CVE-2015-2741].
Crash reports on OS X may contain native key press information [CVE-2015-2742].
A remote user can create a specially crafted PDF file that, when loaded by the target user, will trigger a flaw in the 'PDF.js' viewer and execute code with elevated privileges [CVE-2015-2743].
A remote user that can conduct a man-in-the-middle attack can cause the target system to downgrade the Diffie-Hellman algorithm to 512-bit export-grade cryptography [CVE-2015-4000]. The remote user may then be able to decrypt the connection.
This vulnerability resides in the TLS protocol and not in the specific TLS implementation, but the vulnerability is exposed because the target system supports export-grade ciphers. This attack is known as the "Logjam" attack.
A remote user (server) can exploit a flaw in Network Security Services (NSS) by failing to send the ServerKeyExchange message as part of a ECDHE_ECDSA exchange to cause the target NSS client to use the EC key from the ECDSA certificate, a downgraded exchange [CVE-2015-2721].
