Description:   A vulnerability was reported in the Linux kernel. A local user can corrupt the target filesystem.

A local user can trigger a race condition between page faults and hole punching tasks on the ext4 filesystem to cause a page to be mapped to disk blocks that are subsequently freed. The freed disk blocks may be corrupted by a subsequent write to the filesystem.

Impact:   A local user can corrupt the target filesystem.
Solution:   The vendor has issued a source code fix, available at:
