Description:   A vulnerability was reported in Cisco IOS and IOS XE. A remote user can cause the target device to reload.

A remote user can send a specially crafted DHCPv6 relay message to the target device to trigger an input validation flaw in the DHCPv6 relay feature and cause the target device to reload.

Systems with the DHCPv6 relay feature configured on one or more interfaces are affected.

The vendor has assigned bug ID CSCus55821 to this vulnerability.

Impact:   A remote user can cause the target device to reload.
Solution:   The vendor has issued a fix.
