Description:   A vulnerability was reported in Informix Dynamic Server. A local user can gain system privileges on the target system.

The access control permissions for the 'nsrexecd.exe' file are world-writable. A local user can modify the service file to execute arbitrary code with system level privileges on the target system.

Windows-based systems are affected.

Steven Seeley of Source Incite (via HP's Zero Day Initiative) reported this vulnerability.

Impact:   A local user can obtain system privileges on the target system.
Solution:   The vendor has issued a fix (a script is available on FixCentral that will correct the access control permissions).
