Description:   A vulnerability was reported in IBM Tivoli Monitoring. A remote authenticated user can gain elevated privileges.

A remote authenticated user can connect to the portal client and run commands with administrator privileges. The remote authenticated user can also run commands on other systems managed by IBM Tivoli Monitoring.

Lukasz Miedzinski with ING Services Polska Sp. z o.o. reported this vulnerability.

Impact:   A remote authenticated user can run commands with administrator privileges on the target system, including other systems managed by IBM Tivoli Monitoring.
Solution:   IBM has issued a fix (APAR IV77992).
