Description:   A vulnerability was reported in McAfee Agent. A local user can bypass security restrictions.

A local administrative user can bypass the McAfee self-protection mechanism to access and modify registry settings and files on the target system.

The vendor was notified in November 2014.

Maurizio Agazzini (aka inode) from Mediaservice.net reported this vulnerability.

Impact:   A local user can bypass security controls to access and modify settings and files on the target system.
Solution:   The vendor has issued a fix (5.0.2.333; MA502HF1110392WIN.zip).
