Description:   Several vulnerabilities were reported in Microsoft Office. A remote user can cause arbitrary code to be executed on the target user's system. A remote user can bypass ASLR protection on the target system.

A remote user can create a specially crafted file that, when loaded by the target user, will trigger a memory corruption error and execute arbitrary code on the target system [CVE-2016-0010, CVE-2016-0035]. The code will run with the privileges of the target user.

Microsoft Office Compatibility Pack SP3, Microsoft Word Viewer, and Microsoft Excel Viewer are each affected by one of these vulnerabilities.

A remote user can bypass Address Space Layout Randomization (ASLR) protection on the target system [CVE-2016-0012].

IBM X-Forcer researchers Tom Kahana and Elad Menahem, Jonas Nilsson of Disruptive Innovations AB, Kai Lu of Fortinet's FortiGuard Labs, and Steven Seeley of Source Incite (via HP's Zero Day Initiative) reported these vulnerabilities.

Impact:   A remote user can create content that, when loaded by the target user, will execute arbitrary code on the target user's system.

A remote user can bypass ASLR protection on the target system.

Solution:   The vendor has issued a fix.
