Description:   A vulnerability was reported in QEMU. A local user on the guest system can cause denial of service conditions on the host system.

A local user with CAP_SYS_RAWIO privileges on the guest system can trigger an error reading Interrupt Mask Registers to cause the target Qemu process to crash.

Systems built with a VMWARE VMXNET3 paravirtual NIC emulator support are affected.

Impact:   A local user on the guest system can cause the target Qemu process to crash.
Solution:   The vendor has issued a source code fix [in October 2015], available at:
