Description:   A vulnerability was reported in IBM DB2. A remote authenticated user can cause the target service to crash.

A remote authenticated user with certain privileges can issue a specially crafted ALTER TABLE statement on an identity column to cause the target DB2 server to terminate.

The remote authenticated user must have one of the following privileges:

- CONTROL or ALTER privilege on a table
- ALTERIN privilege on any schema that contains a table
- CREATETAB authority on a database and USAGE privilege on at least one table space

Impact:   A remote authenticated user can cause the target service to crash.
Solution:   IBM has issued a fix (APARs IT05644, IT05645, IT05646, IT05647, IT04786) [in December 2014].
