Description:   A vulnerability was reported in PCRE. A remote user may be able to cause arbitrary code to be executed on the target user's system.

A remote user can create a specially crafted regular expression (regex) pattern that, when compiled by the target application, will trigger a heap overflow and cause denial of service conditions or potentially execute arbitrary code on the target system. The code will run with the privileges of the target application.

The vulnerability resides in the pcre_compile2() function in 'pcre_compile.c'.
