Description:   A vulnerability was reported in Cisco Jabber for Windows. A remote user can access data on the target system.

A remote user that can conduct a man-in-the-middle attack can modify the Extensible Messaging and Presence Protocol (XMPP) connection to downgrade the TLS session negotiation to establish a cleartext XMPP connection.

The vendor has assigned bug ID CSCuw87419 to this vulnerability.

Renaud Dubourguais and Sebastien Dudek from Synacktiv reported this vulnerability.

Impact:   A remote user that can conduct a man-in-the-middle attack can obtain data from the XMPP connection.
Solution:   The vendor has issued a fix.
