Description:   A vulnerability was reported in HP ArcSight Enterprise Security Manager. A local user can obtain elevated privileges on the target system.

Some files executed by root-owned processes are owned by the "arcsight" user. A local user can execute arbitrary commands on the target system with root privileges.

Hubert mach and Julian Horoszkiewicz reported this vulnerability via US-CERT.

Impact:   A local user can obtain root privileges on the target system.
Solution:   HP has issued a fix (6.5SP1P2, v6.8P1).
