Description:   A vulnerability was reported in Cisco Web Security Appliance. A remote user can consume excessive memory on the target system.


A remote user can open multiple proxy connections through the target device to consume all available system memory, preventing the device from passing traffic.

The vendor has assigned bug ID CSCus10922 to this vulnerability.

Impact:   A remote user can consume all available system memory on the target device, preventing the device from passing traffic.
Solution:   The vendor has issued a fix (8.0.7-151, 8.5.2-004, 8.7.0-171-LD, 8.8.0-085).
