Description:   Two vulnerabilities were reported in RSA Web Threat Detection. A local user can obtain root privileges on the target system. A remote authenticated user can obtain passwords on the target system.

A remote authenticated user can view the AnnoDB database password that is stored in cleartext in a system configuration file [CVE-2015-4547]. Then, the user can gain access to the database.

A local user with a service account can insert specially crafted commands into a service configuration file to cause arbitrary operating system commands to be executed on the target system with root privileges [CVE-2015-4548].

Impact:   A local user can obtain root privileges on the target system.

A remote authenticated user can obtain the AnnoDB password on the target system.

Solution:   The vendor has issued a fix (5.1 SP1; Advisory ESA-2015-152).
