Description:   A vulnerability was reported in IBM Tivoli Storage Manager. A local user can obtain potentially sensitive information.

A local user with elevated privileges can manipulate mailbox names to cause the system to open and restore the wrong mailbox and then obtain sensitive information.

Systems with duplicated mailbox aliases are affected.

IBM Tivoli Storage FlashCopy Manager, IBM Tivoli Storage Manager for Mail, and IBM Tivoli Storage Manager FastBack for Microsoft Exchange are affected.

Impact:   A local user can obtain sensitive information from certain mailboxes on the target system.
Solution:   IBM has issued a fix (APAR IT04251).
