Fix Available:  Yes  Vendor Confirmed:  Yes
Version(s): 6.5 SP1 and prior
Description:   A vulnerability was reported in Xen. A local user on the guest system can obtain potentially sensitive information from the host system. Citrix XenServer is affected.

The QEMU RTL8139 network card model does not properly validate user-supplied input. A local user on a guest system can supply specially crafted data to view potentially sensitive information about the guest system from uninitialized portions of heap memory. The information includes data that the host administrator does not intend for the guest administrator to access, including data about physical devices backing emulated devices or about passwords.

Systems running x86 HVM guests without stubdomains configured with an emulated RTL8139 driver model are affected.

Systems using qemu-dm stubdomain device models are not affected.

Systems running only PV guests are not affected.

ARM systems are not affected.

Donghai Zhu of Alibaba reported this vulnerability.

Impact:   A local user on the guest system can obtain potentially sensitive information about the guest system from the host system.
