Description:   A vulnerability was reported in Fortinet FortiGate/FortiOS. A remote user can modify data on the target system.

The SSL-VPN feature only validates the first byte of the TLS message authentication code. As a result, a remote user that can conduct a man-in-the-middle attack can modify encrypted data without detection by the target system.

Impact:   A remote user can modify encrypted data transmitted by the target system without detection.
Solution:   The vendor has issued a fix (4.3.13, 5.0.x, 5.2.x).
