Description:   A vulnerability was reported in Sudo. A local user can modify data on the target system.

The software does not validate the TZ environment variable value. On systems where sudo is configured to preserve the TZ environment variable, a local user with privileges to execute commands via sudo can exploit an input validation flaw to make changes to the system that are otherwise not permitted by the configured sudo commands.

Impact:   A local user can modify data on the target system.
Solution:   The vendor has issued a fix (1.8.12) [in February 2015].
