Description:   Three vulnerabilities were reported in UnZip. A remote user can cause arbitrary code to be executed on the target user's system. IBM Security Proventia Network Enterprise Scanner is affected.

A remote user can create a specially crafted zip file that, when processed by the target user with the '-t' command line option, will trigger a buffer overflow and execute arbitrary code on the target system. The code will run with the privileges of the target user.

The CRC32 processing code is affected [CVE-2014-8139].

The test_compr_eb() function is affected [CVE-2014-8140].

The getZip64Data() function is affected [CVE-2014-8141].

Michele Spagnuolo of Google Security Team reported this vulnerability.

Impact:   A remote user can create a zip file that, when loaded by the target user, will execute arbitrary code on the target user's system.
Solution:   IBM has issued a fix for IBM Security Proventia Network Enterprise Scanner (2.3.0.2-ISS-ES-IF008).
