Description:   A vulnerability was reported in the Linux Kernel. A local user can cause denial of service conditions or execute arbitrary code on the target system.

A local user can start a server and use a specially crafted packet filter to trigger a flaw in the Berkeley Packet Filter (BPF) and cause the target system to crash or execute arbitrary code.

Systems with the BPF JIT enabled via sysctl (i.e., '/proc/sys/net/core/bpf_jit_enable') are affected.

Daniel Borkmann reported this vulnerability.

Impact:   A local user can cause the target system to crash or execute arbitrary code.
