Description:
Multiple vulnerabilities were reported in Microsoft Office. A remote user can cause arbitrary code to be executed on the target user's system. A remote user can bypass security controls on the target system.
A remote user can create a specially crafted file that, when loaded by the target user, will execute arbitrary code on the target system [CVE-2015-2376, CVE-2015-2377, CVE-2015-2379, CVE-2015-2380, CVE-2015-2415, CVE-2015-2424]. The code will run with the privileges of the target user.
A remote user can create specially crafted content that, when loaded by the target user, will bypass the Address Space Layout Randomization (ASLR) protection features on the target user's system [CVE-2015-2375].
A remote user can place a specially crafted dynamic link library (DLL) file the target user's current working directory. Then, when the target user launches a certain application, the remote user's DLL file will be loaded and executed [CVE-2015-2378]. Microsoft Excel is affected.
3S Labs (via HP's Zero Day Initiative), M1x7e1(ShiXiaoLei) of SafeyeTeam, Steven Vittitoe of Google Project Zero, Jack Tang of Trend Micro, The Labs Team of iSIGHT Partners, and Edward Fjellskal of Telenor CERT reported these vulnerabilities.
