Version(s): 2013 SP1, 2013 Cumulative Update 8
Description:   Several vulnerabilities were reported in Microsoft Exchange Server. A remote user can conduct cross-site scripting attacks. A remote user can conduct cross-site request forgery attacks.

Microsoft Exchange does not properly filter HTML code from user-supplied input before displaying the input [CVE-2015-2359]. A remote user can cause arbitrary scripting code to be executed by the target user's browser. The code will originate from the site running the Microsoft Exchange software and will run in the security context of that site. As a result, the code will be able to access the target user's cookies (including authentication cookies), if any, associated with the site, access data recently submitted by the target user via web form to the site, or take actions on the site acting as the target user.

Microsoft Exchange does not properly manage same-origin policy [CVE-2015-1764]. A remote user can submit a specially crafted web application request to bypass same-origin policy and access systems from the target server.

Microsoft Exchange does not properly manage user sessions [CVE-2015-1771]. A remote user can take actions on the target site acting as the target user.

Impact:   A remote user can access the target user's cookies (including authentication cookies), if any, associated with the site running the Microsoft Exchange software, access data recently submitted by the target user via web form to the site, or take actions on the site acting as the target user.

A remote user can access systems from the target server.

Solution:   The vendor has issued a fix.
