Description:   A vulnerability was reported in the Linux Kernel. A local user can cause denial of service conditions on the target system.

A local user can send a specially crafted sequence of packets that results in netfilter loading an extension to trigger a null pointer dereference and cause the target system to crash.

The vulnerability resides in 'include/net/netfilter/nf_conntrack_extend.h'.

Systems using network address translation and certain extensions are affected.

Impact:   A local user can cause the target system to crash.
Solution:   The vendor has issued a fix (3.14.5) [in May2014].
