Description:   A vulnerability was reported in IBM DB2. A remote authenticated user can obtain potentially sensitive information, including passwords, on the target system.

A remote authenticated user with certain DB2 privileges can exploit a flaw in the audit and monitoring feature to view a password in certain SQL statements. SQL statements that contain ENCRYPT/DECRYPT UDFs or federated DDL statements are affected.

Systems with monitoring or audit enabled and using federated DDL (i.e., CREATE SERVER or CREATE/ALTER USER MAPPING) or the ENCRYPT/DECRYPT UDFs with a password parameter are affected.

Impact:   A remote authenticated user can obtain potentially sensitive information, including passwords, on the target system.
Solution:   The vendor has issued a fix.
