Description:   A vulnerability was reported in EMC NetWorker. A local user can obtain root privileges on the target system.

A local user can trigger a buffer overflow in the nsr_render_log command line function to launch arbitrary programs with root privileges.

CERT NRW reported this vulnerability.

Impact:   A local user can obtain root privileges on the target system.
Solution:   The vendor has issued a fix (8.0.4.3, 8.1.2.6, 8.2.1.2; Advisory ESA-2015-069).
