Description:   A vulnerability was reported in Cisco IOS and IOS-XE. A remote user can cause denial of service conditions on the target system.

A remote user can send specially crafted mDNS packets on UDP port 5353 via IPv4 or IPv6 to cause the target device to reload.

Packets destined for any interface configured on the target device, the IPv4 multicast address, or the IPv6 multicast address FF02::FB are affected.

The vendor has assigned bug ID CSCup70579 to this vulnerability.

Cisco IOS XR is not affected.

Impact:   A remote user can cause the target device to reload.
Solution:   The vendor has issued a fix.
