Description:   Two vulnerabilities were reported in EMC Documentum D2. A remote authenticated user can gain elevated privileges. A remote authenticated user can obtain potentially sensitive information.

The D2-API component writes the MD5 hash of a passphrase used to protect D2 sensitive system and user credentials to log files. A remote authenticated user can obtain the files and recover the passphrase [CVE-2015-0517].

A remote authenticated user can invoke a method in the Properties service of the D2FS web service component modify group permissions and obtain superuser privileges [CVE-2015-0518].

Impact:   A remote authenticated user can gain elevated privileges on the target system.

A remote authenticated user can obtain a passphrase used to protect critical information on the target system.

Solution:   The vendor has issued a fix (4.1 P22, 4.2 P11; Advisory ESA-2015-010).
