Description:   Several vulnerabilities were reported in McAfee Data Loss Prevention. A remote user can conduct cross-site scripting attacks. A remote authenticated user can inject SQL commands. A remote authenticated user can obtain potentially sensitive information.

The ePO extension does not properly filter HTML code from user-supplied input before displaying the input [CVE-2015-1617]. A remote user can cause arbitrary scripting code to be executed by the target user's browser. The code will originate from the McAfee Data Loss Prevention interface and will run in the security context of that site. As a result, the code will be able to access the target user's cookies (including authentication cookies), if any, associated with the site, access data recently submitted by the target user via web form to the site, or take actions on the site acting as the target user.

A remote authenticated user can supply a specially crafted parameter value to execute SQL commands on the underlying database [CVE-2015-1616].

A remote authenticated user can supply a specially crafted URL to obtain password information [CVE-2015-1618].

NCI Agency - Cyber Security (NATO) reported these vulnerabilities.

Impact:   A remote user can access the target user's cookies (including authentication cookies), if any, associated with the McAfee Data Loss Prevention interface, access data recently submitted by the target user via web form to the site, or take actions on the site acting as the target user.

A remote authenticated user can execute SQL commands on the underlying database.

A remote authenticated user can obtain password information.

Solution:   The vendor has issued a fix (DLPe 9.3 Patch 4).
