Description:   A vulnerability was reported in McAfee Data Loss Prevention. A local user can obtain elevated privileges on the target system.

A local user can send specially crafted commands to a Windows kernel driver to gain elevated privileges.

Windows XP systems are affected.

Parvez Anwar from GreyHatHacker.NET reported this vulnerability.

Impact:   A local user can obtain elevated privileges on the target system.
Solution:   The vendor has issued a fix (9.3 Patch 4 (9.3.400)).
