Description:   Two vulnerabilities were reported in Siemens Scalance X-300 and X 408 Switches. A remote user can cause denial of service conditions. A remote authenticated user can cause denial of service conditions.

A remote user can send specially crafted HTTP requests to the web server port to cause the target device to reboot [CVE-2014-8478].

A remote authenticated user can send specially crafted network packets to the FTP server port to cause the target device to reboot [CVE-2014-8479].

Deja vu Security reported this vulnerability.

Impact:   A remote or remote authenticated user can cause the target device to reboot.
Solution:   The vendor has issued a fix (4.0).
