Fix Available:  Yes  Vendor Confirmed:  Yes
Version(s): 6.7 SP2 and prior
Description:   Multiple vulnerabilities were reported in EMC Documentum. A remote user can conduct cross-site scripting attacks. A remote user can conduct cross-site request forgery attacks.

Several scripts do not properly filter HTML code from user-supplied input before displaying the input [CVE-2014-4635]. A remote user can cause arbitrary scripting code to be executed by the target user's browser. The code will originate from the site running the Documentum software and will run in the security context of that site. As a result, the code will be able to access the target user's cookies (including authentication cookies), if any, associated with the site, access data recently submitted by the target user via web form to the site, or take actions on the site acting as the target user.

A remote user can conduct cross-site request forgery attacks to take Docbase actions acting as the target user [CVE-2014-4636].

A remote user can cause the target user's browser to be redirected to an arbitrary URL [CVE-2014-4637].

A remote user can inject arbitrary content in a frame to obtain potentially sensitive information [CVE-2014-4638].

The clients use a parameter that is not sufficient random. A remote user can exploit this to conduct phishing attacks [CVE-2014-4639].

The following products include the Web Development Kit:

EMC WebTop 6.7 SP2 and prior
EMC Documentum Administrator 7.1 and prior
EMC Records Client 6.7 SP2 and prior
EMC Digital Assets Manager 6.5 SP6 and prior
EMC Web Publishers 6.5 SP7 and prior
EMC Task Space 6.7 SP2 and prior
EMC Engineering Plant Facilities Management Solution for Documentum 1.7 SP1 and prior
EMC Capital Projects 1.9 and prior

Impact:   A remote user can access the target user's cookies (including authentication cookies), if any, associated with the site running the EMC Documentum software, access data recently submitted by the target user via web form to the site, or take actions on the site acting as the target user.

A remote user can cause the target user's browser to be redirected to an arbitrary URL.

A remote user can conduct phishing attacks.

Solution:   The vendor has issued a fix (WDK 6.8; Advisory ESA-2014-180).
