Description:   Several vulnerabilities were reported in Apple iOS. A physically local user can bypass access controls. An application can launch arbitrary binaries on the target system.

A physically local user can bypass the passcode attempt limit to conduct passcode guessing attacks [CVE-2014-4451]. Stuart Ryan of University of Technology, Sydney, reported this vulnerability.

A physically local user can access photos in the Photo Library via the Leave a Message option in FaceTime [CVE-2014-4463].

An application can exploit a sandbox permissions flaw in the debugging functionality to launch arbitrary binaries on the target device [CVE-2014-4457]. @PanguTeam reported this vulnerability.


Impact:   A physically local user can bypass access controls.

An application can launch arbitrary binaries on the target system.

Solution:   The vendor has issued a fix (8.1.1).
