Description:   Several vulnerabilities were reported in Bugzilla. A remote user can conduct cross-site scripting attacks. A remote user can obtain potentially sensitive information. A remote user can create unauthorized accounts.

The software does not properly filter HTML code from user-supplied input before displaying the input. A remote user can cause arbitrary scripting code to be executed by the target user's browser [CVE-2014-1573]. The code will originate from the site running the Bugzilla software and will run in the security context of that site. As a result, the code will be able to access the target user's cookies (including authentication cookies), if any, associated with the site, access data recently submitted by the target user via web form to the site, or take actions on the site acting as the target user.

A remote user can create a new account and override certain parameters to cause the account to be created with a different email address that will be automatically be added to groups based on a regular expression performed on the address [CVE-2014-1572].

A remote user that is a flag recipient can view a comment that is marked private in certain cases where a new comment is marked private to an insider group and a flag is set in the same transaction [CVE-2014-1571].

The following reported and/or fixed these vulnerabilities: Simon Green, Byron Jones, James Kettle, Netanel Rubin of Check Point Vulnerability Research, Frederic Buclin, Matt Tyson, and David Lawrence.

Impact:   A remote user can access the target user's cookies (including authentication cookies), if any, associated with the site running the Bugzilla software, access data recently submitted by the target user via web form to the site, or take actions on the site acting as the target user.
