Description:   A vulnerability was reported in Cisco IOS and IOS XE. A remote user can cause denial of service conditions.

A remote user can send specially crafted DHCPv6 packets to the target device to trigger a memory leak and cause the target device to reload.

Packets sent to the link-scoped multicast address ff02::1:2 (All_DHCP_Relay_Agents_and_Servers) and to the IPv6 unicast address of the DHCPv6 server can trigger the memory leak.

The vendor has assigned bug ID CSCum90081 to this vulnerability.

Impact:   A remote user can cause the target device to reload.
Solution:   The vendor has issued a fix.
