Description:   A vulnerability was reported in Xen. A local user on a guest system can cause denial of service conditions on the guest system.

The x86 emulation code does not properly check supervisor mode permissions of software interrupts. A local user on an HVM guest system can cause the guest system to crash.

Andrei Lutas at BitDefender reported this vulnerability.

Impact:   A local user on a guest system can cause the guest system to crash.
Solution:   The vendor has issued a fix (xsa106.patch; XSA-106).
