Description:   A vulnerability was reported in Microsoft .NET. A remote user can cause denial of service conditions.

A remote user can send specially crafted data to trigger a hash collision and cause performance degradation on the target .NET-enabled website.

Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 SP1 is not affected.

Alexander Klink of Cynops GmbH reported this vulnerability.

Impact:   A remote user can cause performance degradation on the target system.
Solution:   The vendor has issued a fix.

A patch matrix is available in the vendor's advisory.

A restart is required.
