Description:   A vulnerability was reported in Cisco Carrier Routing System. A remote user can cause denial of service conditions.

A remote user can send a specially crafted IPv6 packet to trigger a flaw in the Cisco IOS XR for the Cisco Carrier Routing System (CRS) IPv6 library and consume excessive CPU resources on the target line card. This may cause certain IPv6 traffic to the target device to be dropped.

The vendor has assigned bug ID CSCuo95165 to this vulnerability.

Impact:   A remote user can cause certain IPv6 traffic to the target device to be dropped.
Solution:   The vendor has issued a fix.
